This page applies to DeutschPrep on the web and in its mobile app builds. It explains how personal data is handled when you create an account, sign in, track exam progress, or use paid features.
DeutschPrep is operated by Enes Gicevic. In this Privacy Policy, "DeutschPrep", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the DeutschPrep website, Android application, future iOS application, and related services offered under the DeutschPrep name.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect personal data when you use DeutschPrep, including account creation, sign-in, exam-prep features, progress tracking, in-app purchase features, and support or account requests.
Account and identity data, such as your email address, user ID, display name, avatar URL, and authentication provider details.
Profile data, such as your selected display name, study level, onboarding status, plan status, plan expiration, and available mock credits.
Learning and usage data, such as exam provider, level, module, set progress, attempts, completion status, timestamps, and scores where these features are available.
Purchase and entitlement data, such as package identifiers, purchase status, transaction IDs, purchase dates, and credit changes connected to paid mock access.
Technical and device data needed to operate the app, such as platform type, session state, app callback links, and local storage used to keep you signed in on native devices.
Audio-generation related input and cached output where text-to-speech features are used.
Communications you send to us, including support or privacy inquiries.
Directly from you when you create an account, edit your profile, sign in, purchase access, contact us, or use learning features.
Automatically through the normal operation of the app and website, including authentication, session management, and progress tracking.
From third-party service providers that support the Service, including sign-in, database, storage, payment, and purchase verification providers.
To create and manage your account.
To authenticate users, including Google sign-in.
To provide exam-prep content, sync your progress, and restore your session across supported platforms.
To manage plans, mock credits, one-time purchases, restores, and purchase verification.
To generate or deliver text-to-speech study assets where that feature is available.
To secure the Service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and enforce our terms.
To respond to support, privacy, and account deletion requests.
To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we generally process personal data on one or more of the following bases: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations.
We may use third-party providers to operate parts of DeutschPrep, including Supabase for authentication, database, and storage services; Google services for sign-in and text-to-speech where used; RevenueCat for in-app purchase and entitlement management; and mobile platform providers such as Google Play and Apple where applicable.
These providers may process personal data on our behalf or as independent providers under their own terms and privacy policies.
We do not sell personal data.
We do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may disclose personal data to service providers, infrastructure partners, payment and purchase processors, legal advisers, regulators, or law enforcement when reasonably necessary or legally required.
Your data may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Service, maintaining purchase and security records, resolving disputes, and complying with legal obligations.
Account and profile data are generally retained until account deletion or until we no longer need them for legitimate operational or legal purposes.
Purchase, credit, and ledger records may be retained longer where needed for fraud prevention, dispute handling, accounting, tax, or legal compliance.

Where account deletion tools are available in the app, you may use them to request deletion of your account.

DeutschPrep is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 in violation of applicable law. If you believe this has happened, contact us and we will review the request.
DeutschPrep is an independent exam-preparation product.
DeutschPrep is not an official product of, endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Goethe-Institut, telc gGmbH, ÖSD, or any other examination body unless we explicitly state otherwise in writing.
Any reference to exam providers, exam names, structures, or trademarks is used only to identify the relevant language examination context. All trademarks and brand names remain the property of their respective owners.
DeutschPrep does not administer official language exams, does not issue official certificates, and does not guarantee any exam outcome.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
